“Angelica’s Place” Planned for Walton Boulevard Site

We are pleased to report that a proposal to build a two-story, 43-bed senior assisted living facility has been submitted to the City of Auburn Hills for approval.   The project is scheduled to be reviewed by the Planning Commission on Tuesday, November 27th.

Angelica’s Place will be constructed on several vacant parcels of land, consisting of 1.4 acres in size, located on the south side of Walton Boulevard, east of Snellbrook.  The facility will house seniors over the age of 60, who are not ready for a nursing care facility, but not capable or wanting to live independently.  Skilled care will also be provided for residents with Alzheimer’s Disease.  The building will be staffed 24-hours a day.

In a nut shell, assisted living is a residential option for those who need help with some of the activities of daily living such as cooking meals, getting to the bathroom in the middle of the night, keeping house, and traveling to appointments.

Angelica’s Place is being proposed in response to the huge demographic shift occurring in America.  A large segment of Baby Boomers are growing older at a rapid pace each year, which has increased the market demand for this type of housing facility in Auburn Hills.

No doubt, it will be a beautiful development and asset for our community.
